Hope
We have all heard it said or said it ourselves. “ God doesn’t give us more than we can handle.” I believe that this is absolutely false! In 2 Corinthians 1:8-11 Paul describes a very difficult time in ministry, most likely a missions journey. He says in 1:9 “Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead.” This is difficult time in Paul’s ministry drove him to the cross, not to himself. Paul, as usual, goes directly to the resurrection for the hope that he needs. During this difficult time in your life, amid lock-downs, mask mandates, children not in school, a crazy election season, allow it all to drive you to the God who raises the dead. For it is in him that we find all the hope we need!
Blessings!
